From 6th October to 1st November 2025, the Uttara Guruvayurappan Temple, Mayur Vihar Phase I, will conduct the rare Vishnu Sahasranama Kodi Archana Yajnam. In this sacred offering, the thousand names of Lord Vishnu will be chanted by learned priests from Kerala, while floral tributes are offered ten million times. Guided by traditional Tantric rites, this unique ritual embodies the essence of Sanatana Dharma. The spiritual purpose of this sacred yajnam is to bring peace, harmony, and universal welfare. As declared in the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 10, Verse 25): “Yajnanam Japayajnosmi” - Of sacrifices, I am the chanting of holy names. Devotees believe that the collective chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama purifies the body, mind, and soul, bestowing blessings of health, prosperity, fearlessness, vitality, emotional balance, and spiritual growth.
